The Nuclear Physics summEr school for undEr Represented Students (NuPEERS) 2024 pilot program is held on the campus of Dillard University on June 12-16, 2024. NuPEERS targets undergraduate students from primarily under-represented groups in nuclear science, the majority attending a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) that is part of the Reaching a New Energy Sciences Workforce (RENEW) sites and their partners funded by the Office of Nuclear Physics within the Office of Science of the Department of Energy. It is supported by the Institute for Nuclear Science to Inspire the Next Generation for a Highly Trained workforce (INSIGHT) network of the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB).

NuPEERS will provide a complementary venue to train undergraduate students in the field of nuclear physics across these institutions. The school will also leverage two existing programs through two panel discussions: the Dillard University Women In STEM Highschool Experience Summer program (DU-WISHES) and a partnership with Fermi National Accelerator Lab (Fermilab).
